Advanced Relief Block - Reduction Printing
Fridays from 5-8pm: September 6, 13 & 20

In this workshop, students will learn an advanced relief block printing technique called “reduction printing.” Learn how to draw for this unique printing method, advanced carving techniques, and tips to make printing easier. We will use a single block to print several colors and produce some great visual effects with easy registration.
This class will have three sessions, for printing several colors, from 5 to 8 pm.

Your favorite carving tools
Optional: shirts or tote bags, if you’d like to print on them
We'll be printing at every class session, so please wear clothing that can get messy.
About the Instructor:
Brian Walker is a local artist and founding member of GPP who focuses on relief blocks: carving in wood or linoleum to print zombies, monsters and strange critters on paper and shirts. He's been carving since 2006 and travels around the South selling at fan conventions when he's not at Green Pea Press.
